Jess + Brad came to us at the beginning of 2021 and asked us to style their wedding, right from the initial concept ideas through to fruition.
Jess described their style as a mix of modern and classic, with her favourite colours being rust and emerald. Brad’s only request was that we steer away from pink!
Jess had some definite ideas about a few of the decor elements she wanted included so immediately listed a hexagon arbour and fairy lights on the ‘must-have’ list and using a colour palette of rust, peach, and emerald, we came up with a design that would really accomplish her goal of helping her guests feel warm and cosy on what could possibly end up being your typical chilly winter’s day in the Adelaide Hills.
Once we had decided on the overall vibe of the event I knew that Georgia from Ethereal Botanica would be the perfect choice to design the florals for this wedding and she really went to town with some gorgeous feature pieces that brought the laidback luxury feel we were going for.
Linens from Found Collective, lighting by Amuse, and copper cutlery from Olympic all helped bring the vision together beautifully, and made the Gatehouse look so warm and inviting.
Jess absolutely loves to dance and Brad isn’t bad on the dance floor either so I know what a big sacrifice it was for them to push forward with their covid-affected wedding day where dancing wasn’t allowed for most of the guests. However, you’ll see in the pics below the wedding party definitely took advantage of the fact that they were permitted to get down and boogie :)
