Patrick and Li Yeen have been maintaining a long distance relationship for over ten years. They don’t get to see each other very often but when they do they spend their time watching movies, attempting to cook some of their favorite foods, and exploring cafes and restaurants around town. They also love to travel and have been making it their tradition to go overseas every year.
Patrick was sold on a beautiful, tranquil garden setting for their wedding day, while Li Yeen wanted something more urban and modern. Beaumont House for their ceremony and Ten22 for their reception were the perfect match! Only a short distance apart, both very flexible venues in terms of set-up allowed, and a wonderful journey in their photographs showing the change from one space to the next.
From the Bride:
1. Why did you choose Emma instead of another wedding planner?
I looked at her portfolio and liked what I saw, plus the price is stated on the website! Many other wedding planners do not provide prices on their website. I prefer when things are clear from the get go.
2. What was your favourite part of the Planning + Styling service?
When we received our list of recommended vendors so we can go 'shopping'. Also love the coffee dates to discuss and make decisions. I love it when a decision is made and when a task is ticked off from the to do list.
3. What are your fondest memories of the wedding day?
Patrick tearing up when I walked down the aisle, hehe! The flies at Beaumont House (very Aussie!). Seeing everyone important to us come together and having a good time. Receiving our bouquets (so pretty!), and seeing the very gorgeous styling at Ten22 for the first time.
4. What was the best decision you made when planning the wedding? Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Hiring a wedding planner. If you want the majority of stress from wedding planning taken off you, hire a wedding planner!
5. What did you like the most about working with Emma?
Emma guided us when we had difficulties making a decision. She gives us the pros and cons of each choice and helped us reach a final decision.
