2019 - How It Went Down

What can I say about 2019? It was a year of big growth and change for Sparrow, and we again had the great honour to celebrate with and support some gorgeous couples down the aisle.

We grew our team to four when we welcomed Amy to Sparrow HQ and she’s proved herself a hard worker as well as an absolute sweetheart. In September we received word that our awesome clients had voted us in to the finalist’s for ABIA’s South Australian Wedding Planner of the Year, and then in October we actually won it! I do apologise to those who were there for my very un-prepared speech!

We also furthered our company commitment to lend a helping hand by supporting Ovarian Cancer Research and Dogs for Kids with our dollar bills.

Here is our Year in Review 2019, in photos and just a few words! (Click through the photographers name in the caption to go to their website). And please forgive the few obvious non-profesh photos. Not all the pro photos were available to me yet!

We started the year off right with Cayleigh + David at Golding Wines in the Adelaide Hills.  They had some of the most challenging weather I’ve ever experienced for their wedding day, but they handled it like champs and never complained.

We then had Kendal + Reece at Serafino Wines in February. Many thanks to Kendal for getting me out on the dance floor for a bit of Whitney Houston, love you girl!

A nice change of pace next with Hannah’s Sweet 16th. Hannah worked so hard on the design she wanted for her birthday celebration and I think we managed to pull it off for her.

Road Trip! Thanks to Jeanette + Jono the girls and I packed our bags for a weekend in Clare and a wedding at Bungaree Station. What happens on the road, stays on the road ;)

Back home and we were off to the Fleurieu Peninsula for Nicole + James’ big day at One Paddock Currency Creek Winery. Lotttta epic dance moves going on that night, and this photo right here is how I know I have the greatest clients to work with #blessed

Next up was Lauren + Carl and their very elegant garden wedding at Mandalay House. They were a dream to work with from start to finish and I miss our smoothie-dates at Sunny’s!

Li Yeen + Patrick at Beaumont House and Ten22 (yes, you can have your ceremony and reception in two different locations). Poor Patrick was so emotional as he watched Li Yeen walk down the aisle that he lost a contact lens and we had to scramble for a replacement!

Karina + Roger at White Hill Estate. Ceremony by the water and dancing under the stars all night, doesn’t get much better than that!

Finished up the year by celebrating Felicity + Aaron, and this one got me in allll the feels. I can’t tell you how happy it made me to see these four go ‘family-official’. (Again with the awesome clients, haha)

There you have it folks, 2019 in a nutshell. I don’t know how we’re going to top this one but we’re going to give it a red-hot go! Bring on 2020 xo
