It’s always such an honour when a fellow wedding industry colleague chooses us to manage their wedding day. We already knew Kitty + Cale, having met them both when they were part of Amelia + Jake’s wedding party in 2020, and since then we’ve worked with Kitty and her sis Stella many times, as the brains (and bakers) behind SuperEgo Cakes!

Kitty + Cale have been together forever. Their love story dates back to their first meeting in high school when they started as friends. It may not have been love at first sight, but Cale remembers thinking that Kitty was a total babe, and she also made an impression because she was nice and fun. Kitty says she had a fondness for Cale from the beginning because he was so much kinder and more considerate than most other 17-year-old boys.

It wasn't until their late 20s that they started spending more time together, usually drinking jugs of beer at one of the many local pubs. Cale was impressed that Kitty could pretty much drink him under the table, ha! Also, at this time, Kitty realises how insanely cute Cale is and sees why everyone loves him so much – because he's a genuine, all-around good person. A good few years of dating followed, and here we are at their wedding day!

From the Bride and Groom

When it comes to their fondest memories of their wedding day they find it seriously hard to choose! “We loved absolutely everything about the day - the vendors, the ceremony, the music, the dancing, the photos/videography, the food!”

Their advice for other engaged couples? “We are beyond stoked with all of our vendors, which helped make our day so perfect! Our advice would be to meet with your wedding vendors first and make sure you get the right ‘vibe’ from them, make sure you know they share the same vision and most importantly, make sure that they’ll be helpful and easy to work with along the way.”

Finally, when asked to describe what it was like working with the Sparrow team - “Invaluable! We’d always recommend Sparrow to our friends - lovely, helpful, and honest. We always felt you had our best interests at heart. You always kept us on track and made so many helpful recommendations to us along the way. The team always goes above and beyond to make sure everything flows. You guys are simply the ‘Mary Poppins’ of wedding coordinators.”

“Britney was amazing - I wished I said more of a ‘thank you’ on the day but honestly, she did her job so perfectly we almost forgot she was there! She blended in seamlessly and vibed so well with the directions of the photographers and videographers. Didn’t get in the way of anyone and we loved all the ‘behind the scenes’ and candid shots.

We LOVED how quickly we received all the photos/videos after the wedding - It was an absolute highlight of our mini-moon. The thing we loved the most about the content was that it included so much footage of our wedding guests and wedding party (not just us) … And we loved that so many of the photos were candid and highlighted the ‘feeling’ of the day.”
